Training

Training Grounds

Our club training grounds (subject to council availability) are Waterloo Park, Marsfield Park & Meadowbank Park
Please note: Grounds for training may vary with GHFA/Council availability.

Co-Op training

The Macquarie Dragons have introduced Co-operative style training to teach children the art of football at a very young age.
Co-operative or academy training styles teach the children ball skills and technique. It allows teams to train as a unit and also as a squad. The sessions are fun and form an important part of learning for young children.

Facilitated by an experienced head coach, sessions will be held at Waterloo Park on Monday afternoon / evening.
Under 6’s & 7’s will train from 5 - 6pm,
Under 8's & 9's from 6 - 7pm and
Under 8’s -11's from 6:30 - 7:30 pm

(Fees for all U6-U11 players include weekly co-operative training with High Level Coaches.)

For all other Age Grades/Teams you will be notified by your Team Manager or Coach when and where your training session will be.

Football boots are not permitted for training in March as per the Association & Councils regulations.

All players MUST train in joggers or turf shoes.
