Welcome to Macquarie Dragons Football

Welcome to a new and exciting season of  football, particularly to new players and parents. Most of the information you will need to participate in the season and the Clubs activities for the year are contained on our web-site. Have a look at those sources and if still in doubt please ask your teams Manager or Coach (each team is required to have a rep attend the Committee meetings during the season) or a Committee member.

A reminder that all office holders in the Club are volunteers who give their time to make the Club run and provide sporting and social outlets for all players and supporters. Many aspects of the season are outside the direct control of these people, so be prepared to be patient and co-operative when needs be in the interests of an enjoyable experience for all.

The Dragons have always strived to uphold a spirit of Sportsmanship, Respect and Fair Play, whilst encouraging all levels of participation from competitive to more social. These themes will continue to guide the Clubs development throughout the year.

Small Sided Games continue in 2019 for the Mini footballers including the U10's and U11's.
Cooperative training has been extended to cover the U6’s through to the U11’s. This will ensure improved skill levels for the Tim Cahill's and Brett Emerton's of the future. Please note Co-Op Training will be on MONDAY evenings at Waterloo Park this year.

The Club continues its sponsorship of any member who wishes to undertake training as a coach or referee. We have a strong representation of current and past players who are qualified referees and encourage those interested to take up the invitation to participate in those roles.

Commensurate with the desire to offer the most skill appropriate experience for the majority of players, grading of competition teams (where more than one team will be fielded in an age group), will occur pre-season. Coaches, Managers or your teams Committee Rep will advise details.

As ever we welcome suggestions on any aspect of the season, and look forward to your participation in the activities of the Club.
